Where are you located?

Charlotte, North Carolina.

What name do you use for modeling?

Vera van Munster.

How did you get that name if it’s not already your own name?

Vera came from Dead Alive and van Munster was actually a family name in my family tree.

How old are you?

26.

How old were you when you got into modeling?

18.

Who was your first photographer?

Wow...I don't think I recall.

Who has photographed you?

To name a few: Joe Bemis, Ben Cherries, Carl Miller, Jeff Griffin, Carl Thompson, etc.....Those are my favs!

What kind of sets have you worked on?

Pulp, Horror, Cheesecake and Sci-Fi.

Who does your hair and makeup?

I do! I even do my own sci-fi/horror special efx.

Do you prefer male or female photographers?

I've only shot with a female photographer once, but I really don’t have a preference.

Do you Photoshop any of your photos?

No, but I’m sure the photographers probably neaten up stuff and I've had some awesome fans do neat things to some of my photos.

What are most of your photos for? Clothing companies?

Mainly for me to showcase at Horror conventions, but I have had the honor of modeling for bands and Versatile Fashions.

Do you use MySpace to get yourself more well known?

Not at all. I have it to keep in touch with friends and what fans I have, but I don’t really go out of my way to promote or be seen and/or well known. I do this for art.

I noticed you’re married; does your husband support your modeling career?

Yes! Very much so. He helps me at shoots and even participates at times.

Is modeling your main profession?

No. It’s more of a hobby. I work as a supervisor in retail currently, but I’m actually in school for Mortuary Science.

Where did you go to school for embalming?

I’m currently enrolled through Fayetteville Tech through CVCC in Hickory, NC.

What made you decide that you wanted to do that?

I always had a passion for helping people and noticed that I never was bothered by death, but looked at it as a part of life and I thought why not help people in that manner, so I decided to go for it.

How many years have you been in school?

In total, seven years. I also have a degree in photography.

Do you think modeling is easy?

No, it can be hard. It looks easy and it's fun but it's definitely a job.

What advice do you have for girls wanting to get into the modeling field?

Be original, be yourself, and don't give in to how petty people can be in the industry. Just go for it and if it happens, it happens, if it doesn't at least you can say you tried and you'll have beautiful photos to show your grandkids
