Twisted in Graves is a psychobilly band that hails from the swamps of Orlando, Florida. They play a brand of psychobilly that sounds like a mix of Demented Are Go and Os Catalepticos. Mike Twisted, guitarist and vocalist answered a few questions about his band for us.

Where is the band from and when did the band form?

We're based out of Orlando Even though we're from all over, I'm (Mike Twisted) originally from MI. Our bass player (Layser) is from GA and our drummer (Telly) is from Clearwater. We started back in 2002. It seems like forever ago. It’s been one hell of a ride but I've loved every second of it! We've played with so many great bands.

How would you describe your music?

I don't know really. I guess Sick and crazy? I've tried my best to mix European and American Psychobilly with all of my other influences.

Where have you played and what bands have you played with?

Oh man... Ok let’s see... We've mainly played here in FL and somehow managed to gets some really great bands down here. We've played with the Nekromantix, Mad Sin, Demented are Go, Calavera, the Quakes, 7 Shot Screamers, Sasquatch and the Sickabillys, Fear, the Legendary Shack Shakers, and Murphy’s Law to name a few. I'd have to say Demented and Mad Sin were some of my favorites though.

What are your thoughts on downloading music?

I don't know... Sometimes it's really hard to find a bands CD. I guess as long as you buy it from them when they come through town it all pans out. Just pick up a shirt or something to make up for it. (Laughs)

How effective do you think MySpace is to your band?

Is this a trick question? We're doing great because of MySpace. If it weren’t for MySpace half of our fans would have never even heard of us. We've got fans all over the world now. I fuckin' love it!

Do you have any releases out? If so, where are fans able to get them?

Well we were about release a CD, but we lost our bass player at the time. So now we have to re-record. It's going to be so much better when it’s done though. Our new bass player is taking us to a level I never imagined. I can't wait to release this new CD. All new bass lines and a couple of new songs will be added. When it's finished it will be available on our MySpace. I think we are going to do a special limited addition pressing in Spain, Europe, and Japan... just a small amount like 500 or so.

Anything else you would like to add?

I just want to tell everyone that the CD will be released as soon as we can get it out. So please hang in there. And just one more thing. If you ever have a chance to play in a band or if you have ever wondered if you should take up an instrument of some type. I'd have to say go for it! Because this is by far the best thing that has ever happened to me. I couldn't imagine my life any other way. Thanks to everyone who has supported me and my band through the years!
