Pinup model Sabina

When did you first start modeling?

Professionally, 5 years ago!

Was this your dream from a young age?

My dream from a young age was to be famous. There were a few other jobs growing up that I was interested in, but changed my mind on such as being a teacher, firefighter, forensic scientist, and actress. I've always wanted to be a model and a dancer, and that is what I'm doing.

How many magazine covers have you been on?

Nineteen magazine covers.

What Kind of makeup do you wear?

MAC

Name a few of the magazine covers you have appeared on?

Ol Skool Rodz, Varla, CK Deluxe, Tattoo Life, and International Tattoo.

Tell us what it takes to be a Pinup Model?

Curves, personality, pinup knowledge, cute yet sexy and not trashy look, vintage attire, the love for it, and hard work.

You're a part of a few pinup models that don't pose nude correct?

Yes, I don't. But I did for Playboy and David LaChapelle, but those are the only exceptions.

What do you say is the reason why you don't; with your beautiful body I can't imagine you being insecure?

The reason why I don't is because it is sexier to me to be wearing something skimpy and leave the rest to the imagination. It has the tease factor, instead of sharing it all. Not to mention, I have a family and husband and there is no need for me to be nude all over the place. The two jobs I did pose nude were extremely classy.

Is there a lot of competition in your field?

There is now, especially if your starting out. I personally have already made a name for myself, so it is a little easier for me.

What are the different things that you've done as a model, which you would not have done otherwise?

Travel to some amazing places that I have never heard of. Wear stuff that I would never normally wear and have my hair in crazy styles.

Describe a typical day at work.

On a day of a shoot, I usually fly to whatever state or country I'm shooting in the night before, eat a good dinner and go to sleep early. Then I get up early shower/shave/eat a healthy breakfast and head to the shoot. I get hair and makeup done and begin shooting. A day of shooting goes anywhere from 4-12 hours. Depends on what I'm shooting. I'm usually beat by the end of a shoot. On a day that I'm not shooting, I’m either editing pics, returning emails, updating my website, rehearsing for a burlesque show, or planning on my next goals and working on those. My job is never ending, but I LOVE IT!

How many different photographers have you worked with, please name a few?

I've worked with so many, that I can't count. My favorites are: David LaChapelle, MichelleXStar, Lesley Slenning, and David Perry.

The best thing about the job?

The end result. Seeing amazing pictures!

I see you are married and have a son and a daughter. Does your career ever interfere with home life?

Oh yeah, it totally interferes with home life, but I do my best to make everything work out smoothly. It's really hard, but it makes me work harder and only take important jobs, since I have no time to waste.

Does the husband ever get jealous of you showing some skin?

Ha, I think so. He definitely does not like my more risqué pics being plastered all over.

What first attracted you to tattoos?

I've thought tattoos and heavily tattooed people were hot, ever since I was a little girl. So, by the time I was old enough to be tattooed, I wanted to be covered. If it were not for my friends or husband tattooing me, and not letting me get half of the areas I wanted tattooed, get tattooed, I know I would be a lot more covered.

Tell us about the music you listen to?

I like a lot of different kinds of music. My favorite is Psychobilly music though. I listen to M3T3ORS, Social Distortion, Alkaline Trio, Eminem, Elvis, Doo Wop, and Murder City Devils.

Does music have a lot to do with your every day life?

YES! I could not live without music.

What is your favorite Horror Flick?

I like the old 50's Monster Movies.

What is your modeling goal?

Honestly my three goals for modeling I reached by the end of last year. They were to work with famous Pinup Photographer Bunny Yeager, Shoot for Playboy, and Shoot with David LaChapelle. So, now I'm working on what my next goals are. I know I want to do a Eminem music video. Don't ask me why. (Laughs), I just want to.

Thank you so much honey, any last things you’d like to say before you go dazzle the cameras?

I have some very big projects and shows coming up this year, that I'm not going to mention yet, but keep update on my website and join my exclusive member's site at www.SwitchbladeStilettos.com
