The Peacocks - Touch and Go
(People Like You Records/Stomp Records)

The Peacocks - Touch and Go album cover.

The Switzerland based punkabilly trio, known as The Peacocks, have come up with a brand new killer album. It's not just psychobilly, not even rockabilly, it's just great rock'n'roll, stand up bass driven punk-rock. "Touch and Go" has such an urge, that you go through all the album without even noticing it, and you want more of it. From the kick ass opening track "Sex and Drugs and Rocks through Your Window", this album will grab you by the balls and won't leave you until the last one "Next Room Sleeping". So you go again and again through the 16 tracks, filled with tales of sex, drugs, booze and most of all straight up rock'n'roll. The songs are catchy, sometimes a bit poppy, in a good way, yet explosive and aggressive. I can't wait to see the band perform them live.

If you're looking for songs about zombies, graveyards, gargoyles and other ghoulish creatures, this album is not the right place to look for it. More like Angel City Outcasts, than The Meteors, The Peacocks sing about what they know best, touring, having fun, real stuff from real life. "Touch and Go" comes out in North America with a slightly different cover art and track listing. There are 5 or 6 different songs, which is little unfair to me. I have heard just the European edition of the album, but I'm pretty sure that the rest of the tracks are also great. I can assure you that with these guys you're in for a great rock'n'roll experience. So enjoy and stay alert for the Peacocks gig near you!
