Why hello ladies and gentlemen of Forever Dead please introduce yourselves?

Forever Dead are Chelsea Heart lead vocals, Jessica (Ska) Hochins keyboard and vocals, (Horror) George Gratz upright bass and vocals, (Markalark) Marc Viherkoski guitar and vocals, Tyler (the Destroyer) Gratz drums.

What kind of music do you play?

We play a mix of punk, swing, ska, and psychobilly.

Tell us when it all got started?

Forever Dead got started in the fall of 2004, we all got together to play a cover show. It was just something for fun, but after we got a lot of great response from the performance we decided to write some original songs. At that time we had a different drummer by the name of Jimmy Kuss from a band called Jordana Divinorum, but he left because of his schedule being too much. After Jimmy left we picked up Tyler who is the younger brother of George. After about three months of writing our set we played our first show opening for The Creepshow from the Toronto area and punk rock legends The Vibrators, which was one hell of a first show for us.

How did your name come to be?

We got our name from the cover of a Tails from the Crypt comic. Chelsea had this calendar of cover art from Tails from the Crypt and on one of them was Forever Dead! So we went with that. At first we didn't really like it because it sounded kind of emo, but after a while we said screw it and stuck with that name.

What influences your music?

Individually we all have different influences, and I think we use them to a degree Marc is into a lot of Mike Patton stuff as well as Mad Caddies, Tyler is into Dead Kennedys and old school punk and metal, Chelsea loves rock and roll like Nashville Pussy and is a big fan of the Distillers, she also likes a lot of Rockabilly and psychobilly, Jessica likes a lot of different stuff, she is pretty much all across the board, and George is into Rancid, Nekromantix, and Les Claypool plus a lot of jazz, swing, and Ska.

What attracted you to this type of music and scene?

Most of us have been in bands before and have been playing in bands and playing shows since we where 14. Thunder Bay's music scene has been a part of our lives for a long time. I think what attracted us to Psychobilly was the fact that no one around this area was playing it. It was something new and exciting. So we decided to take that new style and make it our own by adding into it our own style and influences. There isn't really much a psychobilly scene in Thunder Bay but the scene here is very diverse. People here are not picky they listen to almost everything and appreciate all types of music. And the more different and new it is the better.

Talk to us about your new EP out now?

Our EP is called "Rev up the Pinch Nipskies" it is a three song CD we recorded in the fall of 2005 with Ian Hibberd and Sean Skillen of Exit Music Recording Studio here in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The tracks on it are Dance with the Reaper, Someone's Blood is on my Skirt, Skitzo, Psycho, and Mad.

Was it fun making it?

We had a lot of fun recording this EP and we are really happy with the outcome of it. It's the kind of album that will punch you in the face, invites you to dance and by the end fucks the hell out of you. Kind of like a saucy dame.

We had so much fun with this album, then again we have a lot of fun with everything we do. I am surprised we are not retarded. Then again some may think we are.

What was the recording like?

The recording was very smooth, in total it took us 24 hours to record all our tracks. We watched a lot of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, drank a lot, and smoked a lot plus cigarettes.

How does the line up work out being two women and three men?

It works out well with us three guys and those two gals. They are just as perverse as us, drink and smoke as much as we and we all have great times together. There isn't really much to say, however if you piss those girls off watch out. Other than that we all get along great.

Have you guys toured yet?

We have only done one out of town show so far. It was in Dryden, Ontario with Jordana Divinorum and Fuck the Facts. We drank from 11:00 am till 7:00 am slept of three hours and drove four hours home. It kicked ass.

Where would you like to tour in the future?

Well first I think we would like to tour Canada before anywhere. Then after that probably some US shows and then Europe but that is a while yet.

Favorite horror movie?

That's tough. I don't know about the other guys, but if I had to say… it is probably Evil Dead 2 it's hilarious. I hate to say it anything is my favorite because there is a lot of stuff out there.

Thank you, any last words?

To quote NOFX a bit we don't care how bad we fuck up we care about how fucked up we get. (Laughs) Great words to live by.
