Dead Boy Productions with Dr. Bizarro's Victims

Who plays what in the band?

We are a trio, Frank G. drums, Andrew C. guitars, and Jorge J. Doublebass.

Who started Dr. Bizarro's Victims?

It was Andrew and me (Jorge) who had the main idea for the band.

Are any of the original members still in the band?

Oh yeah it’s still Andrew and me (Jorge), the original drummer is gone, but we got Mr. Frank on our side now.

How long have you guys been together?

Around three years. We had some troubles with the original drummer, which held us back for a while, but we are just doing fine now.

On average how many shows do you play in a month?

It depends, some months are busy some aren’t, so I guess on average we play 3 times a month.

What styles of music influenced you, besides psychobilly?

Anything that sounds good I’d say, but I guess our main influences other than psychobilly are blues, rock n roll, new wave, some punk.

Who writes the music/lyrics?

We all do, we all put in a bit, mix it and make it one.

Who are your muses?

Anything or anybody that rocks!

How long do you guys usually practice?

As much as we can, in other words till we drop.

Besides being in Dr. Bizarro's Victims, are any of the members in other projects?

Frank plays bass for Teenage Attack a local Trash/Hardcore/Punk band, I (Jorge) have a little side project The Martians, a Psychobilly one-man band.

Who gets you guys shows?

There are many ways from other friends’ bands to agencies, but the main one is friends’ bands.

Do you play backyard shows?

Yeah we like to throw one of those from time to time, they are fun! We play, drink beer, hang around with friends, and have a good time.

Who have you played with?

Hmm, so far we have shared the stage with, Calavera, Coffin Draggers, Barnyard Ballers, Chuy and The Bobcats, The Curs, Los Gatos Locos, The Howlers, The Formaldehydes... that’s just a few of those good bands out there.

What venues have you played at? Key Club, Elks Lodge, Cobalt Cafe, Club 13, The Lighthouse, Carpe D, Alpine, Slam Theatre, Doll Hut and many more.

Have you gone on a tour?

Hmm not yet, but soon. We are thinking about it, so stay tuned for more info. Do you have any advice for kids who wanna get in the music scene? Listen to good tunes and support your local psychobilly bands!
