The Spectremen, Dawn of the Day of the Night of the Living Dead - Album Cover

Being a fan of Demented Are Go, I jumped at the chance to review this Split 7 inch from TKO Records. The Demented Are Go side features “Sickness in Truth” I knew this was Demented are Go song from the bass line even before I heard Sparky’s vocals. “Sickness in Truth” is not a song that shows what has made Demented Are Go one of the biggest names in Psychobilly. This song is kind of flat in comparison with earlier songs such as “Satan’s Rejects” or “Don’t Send me No Flowers”. The Deadbolt side offers “Telephone the Dead”, a great song. The best way for me to describe this song is saying “This is what Johnny Cash would have sounded like if he found Anton LeVey instead of Jesus Christ” The vocals are excellent even though they are not sung but spoken. I can’t wait to hear more from Deadbolt in the future.
