Dead Boy Productions with Bad Luck Bandits

 

First, can you introduce the readers to members of Bad Luck Bandits? Also, can you give us some background on the band itself?

Well the members are sammyboy ruiz on guitar and lead vocals, david cisneros on drums and backing vocals and albert muro on standup bass and lead vocals... 
We have been playing for about three years and started in highland park, los angeles, ca. We are all still teenagers and giving all it takes to become big.

Second, how would you label your music and what attracts you to play that way?

We'd say we sound like a mixure of fast western songs to western rockabilly love ballads, and latin beats puts it all together... Johnny cash has alot of influence on our music also other types of music like swing, ska, punk, latin, rock n roll, country, and billy music. We assosiate all these types of music into ours. We think we have a distinct sound. Lots of our lyrics are broken heart love songs and songs about outlaws.

Do Badluck Bandits have any CD’s out?

We have two demo cd’s and we are workin on our first full length album right now.... It’ll be comin out soon.

Has Badluck Bandits already been tour? If so, with who? Also, can you tell us a little bit about that?

As far as touring, we really haven’t but we’ve gone to san diego, sacramento, and vegas...we’re gonna try to get a tour going once our cd comes out.

Any bands out there that you would prefer to tour with?

Well the is a lot of bands that we like so it would be hard to pick (Laughs)

During out of town gigs, is there much partying, groupies and everything that else that musicians are synonymous with? If

so, can you tell us a little bit about that?

Yeah.... We just get togeter with people and drink or just hang out...as for groupies, we dont always get lucky...sometimes they are there and sometimes they’re not.

What kinds of fans usually come out to support you?

Well theres a mix of people.... From the younger crowd to the older crowd.... Basically whoever likes our music will be there

Sounds good. Is there anything that you would like to say about yourselves or any last notes to the readers?

Just to live their dream and never give up.... We started young and felt like giving up lots of times but we kept going and it got us very far.
