Rockabilly records are great, but sometimes they could get quite repetitious with the same ol’ lyrics about hot rods, pomade, pin-up gals and rumbles. Well, that is about to change, because Montreal’s The Alley Dukes are back with their second provocative full length, “…Go Back To College!”. The opening track “If This Ain’t Rockabilly…You Can Suck My Balls!” sets the record straight, and you know that you’re not about to hear some ordinary rockabilly album. The four Canucks have kept the energy and nasty themes from their debut “Northern Rednecks”, but have developed and bettered their acoustic guitar, slap-bass driven sound. Singing about perverse sex, boob sizes, porn and other inappropriate subjects, Danny Duke will make your ears go red. Titles like “She’s so Flat” and “(I broke your Hymen) You Broke My Heart” speak for themselves. The Alley Dukes have paid homage to another provocative band, The Dwarves, by recording a rockabilly rendition of “Pimp”. The foursome has proclaimed themselves as “The Undisputed Kings of Pornobilly” and who are we to disagree?!
