Who are we talking to?

My name is Manny and I play bass for the Dead End Stiffs.

How long have you guys been together?

We’ve been together as a band for about six years. Originally I was supposed to be a filler. They had a bass player, but he moved away, so I said I would fill in while you guys find a new guy. What happened was we starting jamming and I started really liking it so I became permanent.

Where are you guys based out of?

We’re out of the San Fernando Valley. Me personally I live in Pacoima. The lead singer, Albert, he lives in Van Nuys and actually right now we have a fill in drummer. We are looking for a drummer. Our fill in drummer is actually in another band with me. I play guitar in another band.

So as far as CDs, do you have anything available?

Actually right now we do not have anything available. We should because we have been a band for six years, we just haven’t gotten to the actual process of getting together and recording. The fill in drummer that we have right now, Curly, he suggested that we record everything and he is willing to record all the drum tracks for us. All we have is a couple of songs on MySpace, but other than that we really need to record. We have t-shirts, girl and guys’ shirts, but no music.

Any plans to play more shows, just constantly keep playing?

Yeah, our singer, Albert, he is always online booking shows. We do anything from dive bars, fucking Tupperware parties, anywhere as long as I get to play, that’s fine with me. Coming up after this show (Cinco de Mayo festival) gee….I really… that’s up to Albert, he notifies me, he lets me know the dates and I set those aside.

As far as bands who do you guys play with?

We do a lot of shows with Hellbound Hayride, we play with Los Difuntos a lot, we’ve done a couple of shows with them, Los Creepers, they are really good friends of ours, and they have hooked us up with a lot of shows. They hooked us up with Hellcat night at the Echo One of the main bands I would say is Los Creepers. They are as into us as we are to them.
